MY WILD THINGS - HALLOWEEN 2013

We had a great Halloween this year.  Both the boys ended up being Max from the book "Where The Wild Things Are".  Nixon has always loved that book and he makes a perfect Max.  We went out a few days before Halloween to take some pictures.  If you scroll down a bit, you will see Nixon holding a stick in some of the pictures.  He took that stick and used it as a baseball bat across my forehead while I was in the middle of taking pictures of Grey.  Like I said, he made a perfect Max.

Halloween was so much fun this year.  Nixon really enjoyed trick or treating this year.  He loved telling everyone "chick or treeeet" and "happy hawoween"  It was darling.  We had a lot of fun.  Nic's sisters came around with us for a bit!  I love having them so close and I love that they want to be so involved in their nephews lives.  Sydnee and her husband Rob, dressed up as Astrid and Hiccup from "How to Train Your Dragon"... their dogs were dressed as little dragons.  I thought it was the most clever idea.  We had a fun night but missed the older boys as they weren't with us this year!  I wish I had taken some pictures of them in their costumes.  We found Quinn a really cute Jack Sparrow costume and Hayden was a Navy Seal soldier... I think he owns every single soldier costume there is now!  Hope that everyone had a great Halloween!  We sure did!

  1. Such cute costumes! Do you use a filter for your photos? If so, could you tell me what it is? I love how bright they are and it'd be perfect to use for our family pictures before I print them. Thanks! I'd really appreciate it. You have a beautiful family and you are absolutely gorgeous!

    1. Thank you for your sweet words! It's actually a combination of the settings I set my camera to, and then how I edit them in photoshop!

    1. Thank you! I don't really have any secrets! My camera is always on manual mode, so I'm always adjusting my settings because I like that "bright" look! In photoshop I usually adjust the brightness and play with contrast a little.. sharpen the picture if it needs it. Usually it's just a few simple tweaks!
