CREW IS TWO + DOGGONE CUTE

(12/20/2018)

I cannot believe that our sweet baby is officially two!!  He has brought so much happiness into our life + constantly keeps us laughing.  He is so full of life + energy.  We did a puppy theme because there is nothing Crew loves more than puppies.  I swear it would have made his whole life if we would have gotten him a real dog - I don't think Nic will ever give into it.  And if I'm being totally honest, I don 't think I could ever really be talked into it.

We celebrated with family + kept it pretty low key.  Its hard with it being right before Christmas.  Everyone is so busy during the holidays.  I wish I would have taken more pictures that day.  I used to be so much better at that.  Although it always feels like so much more to do - and adds a lot of stress.. I need to be better at it because I do enjoy looking back on the pictures.

We served his favorite foods.  "Wunch" is what he calls sandwiches.  I made jello dog bones (cutting out shapes into jello is actually an art - who knew?!). I made some caramel "bapples" + I had a friend make some homemade Oreo cookies - talk about GOOD!  I made 3 different recipes once they were gone + have finally found a decent + easy recipe that are a close second to her's.

I think Crew ended up with about close to 10 new dogs.  Grandpa Harry got him a little red strider bike + he is already cruising around on that thing like a pro.  It amazes me how good he is already.  I think he will be a natural at a lot of the things he ends up trying.

We love our Crew boy + couldn't imagine life without him ( although a once pregnant Whitney who had just found out he was actually a boy + not a girl like the dr was thinking - called Nic and told him she hated his sperm haha!) I'm so glad he was a little boy - because nobody could ever fill his shoes!

Happy 2nd birthday Crew Curtis Evans

mommy and me

I can't believe I haven't shared these until now.  My blogging skills are seriously lacking and I'd love to be better at using this as an online journal.  I loved doing this mommy + me session.  These are some of my favorite pictures.

mommy + me video

I can't even begin to describe how much I love this video. It captured us so perfectly. Taylee's sister, Courtney, was offering mommy and me sessions for Mother's Day + I jumped on it.  I have always wanted to have a little video of me and my boys while they are still young.  While scrolling through Courtney's blog, I stumbled onto a video that her sister Taylee had done.  I messaged Courtney and asked her if we could get her sister involved in our session to do the video.  We did this session out at Antelope Island + it was a gorgeous evening.  I was pretty nervous when I first got there because I had never done video before and didn't know what to expect.  Courtney + Taylee made me feel so comfortable and relaxed.  I'm so glad that I ended up doing both.  This is something I will cherish forever and we will love to look back on this.

fun at the tree lot

I had been seeing so many cute pictures that people were taking at cute tree farms. I had just upgraded my camera so I thought it would be a perfect time to try it out.  We found this cute tree lot about 10 minutes from our house.  It was perfect + so charming.  We went before it opened + Nic talked to the owners and they said it would be fine for us to take some pictures.  The boys loved running through all of the trees.  I wish that Quinn + Hayden would have been with us, but we went during the week while they were at their mom's house. They had the cutest little trees + I wanted at least 5 of them.  We had a fun time + I'm sure we will be back next year.
