{V-day Dinner: The set-up}

This year for Valentines, we decided to stay in + do dinner. 36 weeks pregnant + fighting the crowds = crazy pregnant chick winding up in a fight no fun!  I put Nic in charge of making dinner (let's get real, I can't cook) and I put myself in charge of setting the table.  I wanted to make it fun + incorporate a few details of "our story."  Down the middle of the table are lyrics to our wedding song.. The Luckiest by Ben Folds.  cheesy I know, so sue me  I also included a few special dates throughout our relationship.  Oh + the cute "Do not disturb" sign was a free printable from the talented ladies over at October Ink.  Nic makes the best spaghetti this side of the Mississippi!  I am already looking forward to stuffing my face and getting some good 1 on 1 time with him!

Nixon- Valentine Pictures

A couple months ago, my favorite photog (Jen Herem) asked me if I would like to help style her Valentine mini sessions.  Of course, without any hesitation, I said yes.  My love for "crafting" has kicked into high gear since having Nixon.  I love any DIY project + I love planning birthday parties and making fun crafts. I post a lot of my craft stuff on instagram sorry about that .  I had so much fun working with Jen.  I need to thank my husband for building the kissing booth, he always does the more "manly" parts of my projects. (thanks babe!)  She took some pictures of Nixon at the end of the first day of her mini sessions.  He was in such a funny little mood + was able to let some of his cute personality show.  This first picture is hands down my favorite.  I added the text to the pictures, I 'm going to print some copies and give them to all the ladies in his life for V-day!

Naughty or Nice?

Our niece Kaysi, asked if I could take some pictures of her and the boys to give my mother-in-law Grandma Angie for Christmas. We I decided that it would be fun to add some cute props. It was freezing cold!! I think everyone froze their chicken nuggets butts off!!  It's always a lot of work with these boys to take even a few pictures.  I appreciate all that my sweet husband did to help, including but not limited to; loading the Tahoe, packing the generator and a heater to keep us warm during breaks, bringing hot chocolate, throwing rocks when upset, trying to get Nixon's attention, and much more! All in all, I think we got some cute pictures... AND I know that one day everyone will look back and be thankful they were forced to wear reindeer antlers and hold funny signs!

Our Halloween...

We kicked off the Halloween festivities on Monday, with our neighborhood trunk-or-treat.  We were able to have Quinn and Hayden for the night, which was a lot of fun... especially for Nixon.


 

On Wednesday we did some good old fashioned Trick or Treating around the neighborhood! Quinn and Hayden were able to come around with us again that night. I didn't take very many pictures this night... I figured I got some cute ones on Monday so I didn't think to take more.
