Nixon- Valentine Pictures
A couple months ago, my favorite photog (Jen Herem) asked me if I would like to help style her Valentine mini sessions. Of course, without any hesitation, I said yes. My love for "crafting" has kicked into high gear since having Nixon. I love any DIY project + I love planning birthday parties and making fun crafts. I post a lot of my craft stuff on instagram sorry about that . I had so much fun working with Jen. I need to thank my husband for building the kissing booth, he always does the more "manly" parts of my projects. (thanks babe!) She took some pictures of Nixon at the end of the first day of her mini sessions. He was in such a funny little mood + was able to let some of his cute personality show. This first picture is hands down my favorite. I added the text to the pictures, I 'm going to print some copies and give them to all the ladies in his life for V-day!

Nixon's Little Man Mustache Bash!!
Nixon turned 1 on Feb. 28th. We had his party the following Saturday, March 3rd. I had decided early on that I wanted to do a little man mustache bash. I tried to use aqua's and grey's for the colors, and used anything striped/chevron striped. I knew I wanted ties, bow ties and mustaches mixed into the decorations. I used Pinterest a lot for inspiration, and Nic swears that he didn't have a wife for a couple months leading up to the party. (It's true, I was wrapped up in birthday stuff for way too long!) I have decided that I am buying dollar store crap from now on instead of spending months making it all :) It was all worth it though. We had a fun little party for our little man. We love him and are so proud of him. We feel so lucky that he chose us as his parents. We love you Nixie boy!

I took these pictures a couple weeks before the party so I could send them in the invites. Nic made me an awesome backdrop from a tutorial we found on Pinterest. It was made from PVC pipe. The striped fabric is our shower curtain. The wood "floor" is actually just paper, and then we bought a strip of crown molding for the baseboard.
