Hayden's 6th Birthday: Soldier Party

I'm only a few months late posting this. Hayden turned 6 on July 5th. He wanted a soldier party, so we gave it our best shot. We started off the party with a scavenger hunt leading him to different clue's around our neighborhood. The last clue told us to head to Fort Wise for BOOT CAMP! Nic's sister Sydnee, and her husband Rob, loaned us their backyard. We (Rob) set up an awesome obstacle course for the boys. It included: Jumping jacks, push-ups, sit-ups, jump ropes, running through ladders, going over ladders, a soapy tarp for army crawling (while having water balloons thrown at them) and target practice. We all had a blast watching Quinn and Hayden while the drill Sargent Nic, kept them in line. After BOOT CAMP, we headed to Fort Evans to finish up the activities with darts and a zip line. We bbq'd and had cake and ice cream, and of course finished up the party with presents and swimming. We had a blast, and so did the boys! We love Hayden and we are so grateful for him. Baptism Pictures

Quinn will be turning 8 in November & will be baptized in December. We ordered him the cutest little suit & had it altered. On Saturday they called & said his suit was done, so we decided to do some spur of the moment pictures of him in it. Doesn't he look so handsome? I told him that Jcrew would be calling him to ask him to model this suit in their magazine... His reply, "Who is he?" I think we will take some more pictures of him in it at the temple in a few weeks. We are so proud of this kid. He has been the best big brother to Nixon and he has a heart of gold.

I am so behind on blogging it's not even funny. But if we are being honest, nobody probably even reads this blog. On that note, I have made a new goal to be better at documenting all that goes on in the Evans household. I am debating whether or not to start fresh, or blog about all the events that have been missed. I do have a really cute birthday party (Hayden's 6th Birthday) to post. And before that, there is a whole handful of stuff.. dating back to last October! Sydnee and Rob's wedding... Jamaica pictures.. Christmas... a crap load of instagram pictures.. the list goes on and on people. I'm going to try and be better at this. So, keep your eyes peeled for some new posts!
